Panel hooters and buzzers are the most frequently purchased industrial alarm products in India — and also the most frequently mis-specified. A buzzer that sounds identical to the power-on confirmation tone, the fault alarm, and the trip alarm provides no meaningful diagnostic information to the operator. Correct panel hooter specification means distinct tones per alarm class, audibility above the panel room ambient noise, and reliable operation at the panel's DC bus voltage.
